This Data Protection Notice (‘Notice”) sets out the basis which The Hut ( ‘we’, ‘us’, ‘our’, etc.) may collect, use, disclose or otherwise process personal data of our clients, we are committed to safeguard the information through this Policy and ensure that is aligned with the Personal Data Protection Act 2012.

This policy outlines The Hut’s obligations and practices in managing the Personal Data we collect and use about our clients, volunteers, partners, donors and all others who come into contact with The Hut through any of our channels and operations, including those seeking employment with The Hut.

Collection, use & disclosure of personal data

The Hut collects and receives personal data for the purpose of administering our services and programmes to our beneficiaries, engaging volunteers and donors, working with partners, employment matters, reporting to proper Authorities and other relevant and reasonable work that are necessary to facilitate and enhance The Hut’s provision of social services.

We may contact you via mail, email, telephone, SMS or other communication means for the listed purposes above.

In providing you with a service, we may be required to disclose your personal data to others. The Hut may share only relevant information with the appropriate partners for the purposes of providing the services requested and strengthening you and your family’s well-being on a need-to-know basis.

Right of access & correction

Withdrawal of Consent

You may withdraw your consent from The Hut’s membership by submitting the Membership Withdrawal Form. Form may be requested through the centre or DPO. By withdrawing, this may restrict The Hut’s ability to provide you with our continued service. Upon submission of withdrawal form, The Hut will require 3 month’s cooling period before proceeding with withdrawal.

Protection & Retention

The Hut will take reasonable precautions to protect Personal Data from misuse, loss, unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. The Hut will retain your personal data for a reasonable period for the purposes as cited, or as required by the law.

Right to Amend Personal Data Protection Policy

The Hut reserves the right to amend this Personal Data Protection Policy at any time. Any amendments will be reflected on our website.
